Mike Prigodich: Pianist, Composer, and Innovator

Mike Prigodich is a dynamic jazz fusion pianist and composer renowned for his innovative compositions and electrifying performances. Drawing inspiration from jazz legends like Chick Corea, Mike's work transcends genre boundaries, combining jazz with elements from around the world, including Latin, rock, and world music traditions, creating a distinctive sound that captivates audiences worldwide.

In 2011, Prigodich released his debut studio album, A Stitch in Time, featuring bassist Damian Erskine, drummer Reinhardt Melz, saxophonist John Nastos, and other musicians. The album garnered critical acclaim for its complex compositions and emotional depth. Esteemed artists have praised Prigodich's work.

Prigodich leads the Melz Prigodich Erskine Group (MPEG), delivering some of the finest original jazz fusion globally. His compositions are celebrated for their intriguing melodies, odd time signatures, and ear-bending harmonies, making them stand-out pieces in the world of fusion. 

Beyond his musical achievements, Prigodich's personal journey is inspiring. A cancer diagnosis in 2008 served as a catalyst for him to pursue his dream of becoming a professional jazz musician. He successfully raised over $10,000 through Kickstarter to fund A Stitch in Time, demonstrating his determination and the support of his growing fan base.

• Reinhardt tours with GINO VANNELLI, PINK MARTINI. He has also toured with LES MCCANN and JAVON JACKSON and has performed with STEVIE WONDER among many other artists.

DAMIAN ERSKINE (Bass)

• Damian is the nephew of PETER ERSKINE and a member of "Peter Erskine New Trio." The trio has released their first album entitled JOY LUCK. Members of the Peter Erskine New Trio are: Peter Erskine, Damian Erskine, and Vardan Ovsepian. Damian tours with GINO VANNELLI and has also toured with PETER ERSKINE, LES MCCANN, and JAVON JACKSON, among many other artists.

JOHN NASTOS (Tenor Sax)

• John is a member of THE CHRISTOPHER BROWN QUARTET. He has also toured with DIANE SCHUUR, ESPERANZA SPALDING, and CHUCK ISRAELS, and does arranging for PINK MARTINI and THE OREGON SYMPHONY.
